This World Pretzel Day - April 26th - the Golden Duck Hunt is back and bigger than ever.
What's the Golden Duck Hunt?
Only the greatest scavenger hunt Perth has to offer! We're hiding a golden rubber duck somewhere in Perth. Find it and you've won free pretzels for life.

But this is no easy feat. You're going up against some of the smartest (and hungriest) scavengers in Perth, so you've really gotta want it. So let's get you started with your best foot forward - here's everything you need to know about the Golden Duck Hunt.
Start time: 11am
The first clue drops at 11am on the Pretzel app homepage. Download here 👈
Head to your first location to find your next clue (you'll be looking for a QR code). Scan it, and you'll be on your way.
Instagram:
The first clue will be re-uploaded on our Instagram story ONE HOUR later, at 12pm. Each clue after that will be posted on every hour, until the clues have run out or the hunt is finished. This is so you can play along at home if you're unable to make it. If you're really serious about the hunt, we don't suggest waiting for the clues to pop up on Instagram, you'll have to move quicker than that! (But it might prove helpful if you're struggling).
Feel free to DM us - but we won't be giving any hints. For those that messaged us last year saying "what's the answer", this will not work (and never will).
Playing the game:
Please play fair! Be nice to each other, work together if you have to, BUT only one person can win the Golden Duck. If you're in a team, you'll have to work this out amongst yourselves.
Use your brains, not AI. I mean, try if you like, but our clues are not very AI-friendly, and we don't want a computer sending you on a wild goose chase. You'll have a much better chance if you have a good knowledge of Perth and Pretzel - you will have all the tools to win. We also advise against racing straight to the last clue - you won't have what you need to find the duck.
Things you'll need:
Everyone plays differently, but these are some things that will really assist on the day, you don't want to lose because you're unprepared!
Transport - You'll be moving around quite a bit (we're talking kilometres), so some mode of transport is recommended. An e-scooter would be a great shout!
Knowledge - This year your mind will be tested in many ways, and as always it serves you well to know a bit about pretzel. Our website, our Instagram, our Spotify are all helpful (while you're there, our World Pretzel Day playlist is the perfect soundtrack to hunting for ducks). You never know when some helpful info might pop up!
Every clue - We've already mentioned, but skipping ahead will not help you!
A mate - This hunt will be a lot more fun if you can enjoy it with someone else (hopefully someone smart!). You can argue about who gets the duck at the end.
Water - It's a big day, remember to stay hydrated!
Finally - be safe, be kind, and enjoy yourselves. We want this year's hunt to be the best we've ever had, and that's how it's shaping up!
