Mark your calendar: Sunday April 26th. The greatest day of the year (objectively) is back and better than ever.
After a great World Pretzel Day last year, we’ve taken it up a level for 2026. More ways to get involved, more ways to earn, and a few brand new surprises we’ve been sitting on for a while.
First things first...if you’re planning on taking part this year, the Pretzel Australia app is essential. This is where a lot of the magic happens. Make sure you’re downloaded, signed up, and ready to go before the day kicks off.
World Pretzel Day HQ will still be our Instagram (as it should be), with stories running all day featuring updates, flash offers, challenges and chaos. But the app is where things really start to stack up.
Let’s talk Pretzel Points.
If you’ve been around, you already know, Pretzel Points are basically Pretzel money. You earn them, you stack them, you spend them on free pretzels. Simple.
But for World Pretzel Day 2026, we’re turning things up:
Double points on all purchases
Points for posting photos and tagging us
Points for getting involved in challenges throughout the day
Basically, if you’re doing World Pretzel Day properly, your points balance is going to look very healthy by the end of it.
We’ll be dropping a list of very specific, very “pretzel-y” things we want to see. Get out there, snap them, post them to your story, tag us, and we’ll load your account with points. Easy.
There’ll also be quick-fire puzzles, riddles, and mini challenges appearing throughout the day. Some will be easy, some… not so much. The fastest (and smartest) will score extra rewards.
New for 2026: The Game.
We’ve built something brand new this year - a mobile game.
It's our twist on the classic Candy Crush, and yes, it ties into World Pretzel Day. Play throughout the day and you’ll have the chance to earn discounts. If you’re competitive, you’ll want to beat everyone for the top prize.
In-store, it’s just as big.
Every location will be getting involved. Expect:
Fresh samples rolling out during the day
Giveaways happening at random (keep your eyes open)
Stickers and extras floating around
And a few surprises depending on where you visit
If you’re anywhere near one of our stores, it’s worth stopping by - even if it’s just to see what’s going on.
And yes… the Golden Duck returns.

Free pretzels for life is on the line again, which means the hunt is on. If you were there last year, you already know this is where things get serious. A lot of you went crazy for it, and we know you're hungrier than ever this time around. Details will drop closer to the time, but expect a mix of clues, movement, and a bit of thinking. Whether you’re chasing it down or just watching it unfold from Instagram, it’s always the highlight of the day.
For those going all-in, plan ahead. Charge your phone, clear your schedule, and maybe think about how you’re getting around. We'll drop an essentials list later this month so you're ultra-prepared. I'm so excited - we’re genuinely counting down the days for this one.
