World Pretzel Day - April 26th 2025

World Pretzel Day is on Saturday April 26th 2025, and is widely known as the greatest day of the year (for pretzel lovers!). This is Pretzel Australia's second official year of celebrating the occasion, and undoubtedly our biggest yet. Luckily for us, World Pretzel Day falls on a Saturday this year, meaning more people can join the fun for more of the day - and well into the night!

With our Pretzel Australia app up and running, it just made sense to include it in the fun, and make our Pretzel members feel as special as they should. As usual, World Pretzel Day Headquarters is our Instagram - we'll be posting stories with updates, flash discounts, mini-challenges and a few other things - but the Pretzel app is the app to have on the day. For 2025, Pretzel Points are your best friend, and how we'll be rewarding you for your participation. If you haven't already downloaded the app, it's super straightforward, get yourself verified and you're good to go! You'll see on your 'account' page of the app theres a long serial number (probably starting with PRA...), that's your Pretzel number! When you get involved in activities throughout the day, be sure to give us your Pretzel number so we can load you up with all the points you deserve!

How does it work? Well, Pretzel Points are basically Pretzel money! For every item you buy, you're awarded Pretzel Points. Earn enough and you can start redeeming your favourite Pretzel products for free!

On World Pretzel Day, we'll be dropping a list of Pretzel-y things to take photos of. Upload those photos to your own Instagram story, tag us, and you'll receive Pretzel Points - simple as that! Basically free money, because why not? It's World Pretzel Day. We will also be posting a series of riddles and puzzles, the first handful of people to solve will get exclusive discounts to use on the day.

If it's merch you're after, head to our store in Westfield Carousel. When you spend over $40, you'll receive a free Pretzel sweatshirt! But be quick, we only have limited stock, and we expect it to run out fast. If you're further north, why not visit our Karrinyup Shopping Centre location? You'll be greeted by our giant inflatable rubber duck on the lawn just outside the store (hint: the duck may or may not be on the list of Pretzel-y things to take picture of). At all stores, we'll also have a stack of temporary tattoos and stickers that you can grab with each purchase, a little memento of the day. But that's just the tip of the iceberg...

For those that are TRULY passionate when it comes to the festivities of World Pretzel Day, boy do we have the day planned for you. Some of you may remember that last year we did a little thing called the Golden Duck Scavenger Hunt. We released two Golden Rubber Ducks, one in Perth, one in Melbourne, and dropped a series of clues as to their whereabouts. The lucky winners of this scavenger hunt received free pretzels for life. Yes, life. One pretzel, every day, forever. Obviously, this is the biggest and most exciting part of World Pretzel Day, so we knew this year we had to bring it.

The hunt in Melbourne will be quite straightforward - three clues, released hourly starting at 1pm AEST, will all relate to one location - that of the duck and all its glory. In Perth, we're doing things a little differently.

Starting at 1pm AWST, the first Clue will be posted on the homepage of the Pretzel App. This clue will lead you to the first location. Something at said location will give you the clue to the next location, and so on. So, for the scavenger hunt experts, you're entirely in charge! Solve it as fast as you can. For those that are struggling a little, or if you're just at home and want to watch the fun unfold do not fret! Each hour, the next clue will be revealed on our Instagram story. This keeps things fun for everyone, but still gives an advantage to those who find the clues before they're posted. Make sense?

If you're confused, we'll be reposting this info on our Instagram, and we're just a DM away if you need help (but no hints!..... ok maybe a very little hint. If I was a duck, I wouldn't be exactly at the first location, but the surrounds are very duck-friendly)

For those that were involved in last year's hunt, be prepared. We've really made this one a challenge - you gotta earn your lifetime of free pretzels after all! And be prepared to move around! A bike would be good, or trains buses, etc. An electric scooter would be ideal, actually!

So get excited! The Golden Duck Hunt will be our greatest yet, and the ultimate way to get involved in World Pretzel Day.
